Letter to my mentor

Dear Mrs.Pallan
I have a big question. What triggers emotions? Like how does our brain just make us feel all kinds of emotions. Why can't we control it sometimes? I feel like when i'm angry or upset, i stay like that through out a whole day or more. I never know how to control my feelings. I never know what to do to calm myself down when i feel upset. My emotions can change in a split second.
